Labor & Employment Attorney
We are seeking a seasoned Labor & Employment Attorney to join our prestigious law firm based in San Diego, CA. With a storied history of handling complex labor and employment matters for both private and public employers, we offer expert advice on a range of issues from employment litigation to workplace investigations and traditional labor law. This position will allow you to leverage your legal skills in a role that encompasses vigorous litigation and advisory services. You will work on diverse cases including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims, manage writs of labor law compliance, and play a key role in shaping our client's workforce strategies. Compensation: $160,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Represent a diverse client base in labor and employment litigation matters including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, retaliation claims, and wage and hour disputes.
  
• Conduct thorough legal research, draft a variety of motions and pleadings, and prepare legal memoranda.
  
• Manage all facets of the discovery process and handle depositions as well as witness interviews.
  
• Provide advisory services on employment law compliance issues such as ADA, FMLA, CFRA, including guidance on COVID-related regulations, disability accommodations, and leave policies.
  
• Engage in labor relations activities including negotiations, handling grievances, and conducting arbitrations.
  
  Minimum Position Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • 4-7 years of substantive experience in employment litigation.
    
  • Profound knowledge of California employment law is essential.
    
  • Familiarity with conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing discovery processes.
    
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
    
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

    • Trial or arbitration experience is highly preferred.
